THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE IS GETTING SOME ATTENTION [PHOTO]

The new issue of “Time” magazine has a pretty provocative cover.  It shows a 26-year-old mother breastfeeding her three-year-old son . . . who’s standing on a little chair so he can reach.

It’s for a story about Dr. Bill Sears, a pediatrician who’s calling for extended breastfeeding.  But obviously a photo of HIM on the cover wasn’t going to be as exciting as a toddler breastfeeding, so “Time” went with that. The Internet has done its usual Internet thing . . . people applauding the cover, people OUTRAGED over the cover, people who are all about the idea of extended breastfeeding, meanwhile, you’ve got other people throwing up in their mouth a little just thinking about it.  You know how it goes.  What do you think?

  1. Luku says:

Breast feeding zonks out hundreds of calories a day for the mother. Probably why this chick really still nurses her kid.

  2. Marie says:

If your kid can unhook your bra with one hand and pull your boobie out all by himself… it’s time to STOP! That poor kid is going to get made fun of so bad when he gets into school, and by the way that kid is like the biggest 3 year old I have ever seen, she must be giving him some super boobie milk!

  3. Michelle says:

It reminds me of the Adam Sandler movie Grownups when the kids like 5 and still breastfeeding. It’s creepy when he walks up to mom and says “I’m thirsty” and she whips it out while the friends have looks of horror on their face.
