It took all 9 innings, but with two outs, Yadier Molina singled in the go ahead run in a back and forth game against the Cubs yesterday afternoon. Both Matt Holliday and Matt Carpenter hit homeruns in the Cards 7-6 win, but it was Yadi’s 2 out single that drove in Holliday and allowed the Cards to snap their 4 game losing streak. Jason Motte got the win for the Cards and the team is in San Francisco tonight with a series against the Giants. It’s a late start tonight, first pitch is scheduled for 9:15PM as Jamie Garcia takes the mound for the Cards.

Well, HAD is the key word here because expect some backlash now after early Tuesday morning – dude was arrested after he hit a parked car, and then bounced. No one was injured, but the driver of the damaged vehicle was able to track down Berkstresser’s truck and reported it to cops. He was arrested and then released on $4,500 dollar bail.

So there is a lot of talk lately about the DOME and what the Rams want to do for renovations. Everything so far is just a proposal and the deadline to decide what to do is June 1st, but here is the latest that has been proposed by the team. The want an “operable roof panel” which would be like a retractable roof only smaller. 6,000 more seats if the dome ever got a Super Bowl and two “party platforms at each endzone. And larger entrances at the two of the dome’s corners. The proposal is estimated at about $700 million dollars, and if something isn’t done to the Dome to move it into the top quarter of NFL stadiums, the team can break the lease and roll out in 2014. Again, we will keep you posted as this all continues….
And finally – a hilarious video of a dude named Harris English and his tee shot at The Players Championship at Sawgrass. Let’s just say this has to be either the greatest shot ever, or the dumbest spectator. English’s tee shot drills this guy right in the dome, knocks him off his feet, and is all caught on camera. It’s hilarious and you can check it out below.
