We don’t cover many obituaries, but how could we pass this one up? We are sad to report that a man in Alton, whose legal name was LED ZEPPELIN TWO has died…he was 63. According to his obituary, quote, “[he] climbed the Stairway to Heaven.” GOOOO!
His original name was George F. Blackburn, but he legally changed it last year, after he and his wife got divorced. When he made the change, he told reporters, quote, “Since I became Led Zeppelin, my life has improved a thousand fold.”
Here’s a picture of Mr. Zeppelin:
He’s survived by three kids, three grandkids, two cats, and a dog . . . but, as his obituary says, quote, “his true love was for the band Led Zeppelin.” Led Zeppelin II” was Led Zeppelin’s second album, released in 1969. It’s the one with “Whole Lotta Love”, “Heartbreaker”, “Living Loving Maid”, and “Ramble On”.
