Ready for another INSANE case of EXTREME CAT HOARDING? This latest one comes to us from Bradley Beach, New Jersey. Around 2:00 A.M. on Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm at 65-year-old Lorraine Smith’s house. Lorraine is a retired teacher who lives alone. When they got to the house, there was no fire. What they DID find was 36 DEAD CATS in various states of decomposition around the house. And they believe THAT’S what set off the fire alarm. The stench from all of the cats was so strong and thick, it triggered Lorraine’s smoke detector. She’s facing 36 counts of animal cruelty, and at least $3,600 in fines for violating housing codes.
Fort Pierce police spoke to a man with a cloth over the left side of his face and ear. The man, who said he was bleeding from his ear, said he had a woman staying with him for two days and she got upset when he said he wouldn’t pay for crack cocaine. He said he only knew her name was Brenda or Barbara. The man said she threw a big carving fork at his face, and the prongs struck his left ear. The woman, he said, pushed him down and ran. She was described as being light skinned with braids and wearing jeans. Police found a woman nearby with braids and shorts “hanging off of her buttocks and . . . covering most of her legs.” Identified as 39-year-old Barbara Cruz, the woman had blood from the middle of her right forearm to her shoulder. “She stated that she was on her period,” an affidavit states. Police also saw a paper towel with blood all over it, which Cruz chalked up to her menstrual cycle, an affidavit states. Cruz did say she’d been with the man who told police he was hit in the ear with the carving fork. Investigators noticed a glass pipe typically used in crack smoking, but Cruz smashed it on an officer’s patrol car. She was arrested on charges including aggravated battery person uses a deadly weapon, battery, evidence destroying, resist officer obstruct without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia. BBT!

As you know, a marriage isn’t TRULY official anymore until both people change their Facebook relationship status to “married.” A 28-year-old woman in Hyderabad, India knew that. And last week, she decided to DIVORCE her 31-year-old husband, because he STILL hadn’t switched his Facebook status after two months of marriage. We’re guessing there were probably more issues than that . . . but the Facebook thing was her last straw. Her husband told the judge that he’d just FORGOTTEN to make the change. The judge told them to get counseling.
