In today’s SPORTS we chat the Cardinals, NHL and NBA playoffs, and one Giants fan really wants Brandon Jacobs to come back to the team…and actually sent him some cash in hopes that he will come back.

The Cardinals got a win in Houston last night by beating the Astros’ 4-3 in the second game of the series between the two.  Daniel Descalso and Allen Craig both had homers in the win as Adam Wainwright picks up his 5th win of the season.  Jason Motte got the save.  Two teams at it again today. Lance Lynn will take the mound for the Cardinals…first pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM.

The Devils avoided elimination last night as they beat the Kings in game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.  New Jersey got the 3-1 win over L.A with BOTH teams only scoring in the third period.  Game 5, and the next chance for the Kings to win the cup will be on Saturday in New Jersey.

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Spurs last night and win the series 4 games to 2 and now move on to the NBA finals.  San Antonio lost FOUR STRAIGHT after winning 20 in a row including a couple games before heading into the playoffs.  Game 1 of the NBA finals will be on Tuesday with the Thunder playing either the Celtics or the Heat…which their series continues tonight…as the Celtics are up 3 games to 2 in that series.

File this under cute or retarded…but a 6 year old from New York was really sad that Brandon Jacobs signed with San Francisco this off-season.  He even asked his mom why he left the Giants.  She replied, “the team doesn’t have enough money to keep him.”  So, the kid busted open his piggy bank – and send Brandon Jacobs $3.36 in hopes to bring him back to NY.  Jacobs said he was touched and may surprise the young fan with a visit …but I think it’s pretty safe to say that initial reports show that he’s staying in San Francisco.
