The Cardinals beat the White Sox 5-3 last night in big part to David Freese’s Double, HR, and THREE RBI night. Jake Westbrook picked up the win as Jason Motte got his 13th save of the year. Kyle Loshe takes the mound tonight to get the start against the Royals. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15

The opening round of golf’s US open took place yesterday and Michael Thompson is in the lead with a 4-under. Tiger woods was in 2nd place. Thompson – playing in his first major since becoming pro – is one of only 6 players to finish the round under par. US Open action continues today.
Here is a Friday fail story for you…Aubrey Huff from the Giants rushed the field to celebrate Matt Cain’s perfect game on Wednesday…and tried to hop over the railing in the dugout….tripped…and blew out his knee. Team sources say he is heading to the DL and will be there for QUOTE “quite some time.” IDIOT! There is a little animated picture of him injuring himself on today’s blog!
And finally – So talk about a ridiculous lawsuit…Check this out. Back in 2010 the Phillie Phanatic was for some reason at a hotel. And while it was there…in full garb…it picked up a woman named Suzanne and threw her into a hotel pool. She is now claiming that she landed in the shallow end of the pool and suffered QUOTE severe injuries to her head, neck, back, body, arms, legs, bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and tissue. The team released a statement saying that they are aware of the lawsuit, but believe the mascot did no wrong. She is suing for an undisclosed amount of cash.
