In today’s SPORTS report we chat about the Cardinals, an update on some athletes helping out the Aurora shooting victims, and everything you need to know about the LONDON OLYMPICS!

The Cardinals got the win over the Dodgers yesterday afternoon 7-4.  David Freese and Matt Carpenter combined for six hits and three RBI in the win.  Tonight, the Cardinals take on the Cubs in Chicago.  Lance Lynn gets the start for the Cards.

As Training Camp opens and there are a lot of holdouts across the league, the Rams had all their players report to camp on time…that is except for Trumaine Johnson.  The rookie was a no show to Wednesday’s rookie practice…because he slept through his alarm.  Jeff Fisher said that there will be no fine involved, but just a day after signing his first NFL contract, he hopes that it will only be a one time occurrence.

With all the NFL players getting busted for DUI, assault, or ripping their moms bras off – it’s nice to see a pretty decent story.  Some of the Denver Broncos players have made appearances at the hospitals where the Aurora victims are being held…and now Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith has donated $100,000 to help out with the medical bills.

If you are interested in the NBA..the regular season schedule has been released and you can check it out HERE

And finally – there is a link on the blog that has a huge schedule of events for the Olympics as the Opening Ceremonies kick off tonight.  It starts tonight at 7:30PM and goes to almost 12AM.  And again – if you want to see all the events and when they happen, see it HERE!
